This role can be located in Bentonville, AR or in a major Midwest city such as Chicago.
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales programs across several customers, mainly focusing on Walmart, and Managing a Manufacturer Rep Agency who manages Target, Menards and Mid States.
This person will also be directly responsible for Meijer.
In addition, this role will be responsible for providing accurate forecasts enabling GALE to achieve and/or exceeding projected key account sales goals.
The National Sales Manager should have “the customer first” mentality while delivering company sales objectives, profitability goals, and striving to optimize efficiencies in the assigned national accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES Takes lead role in developing the sales strategy for the assigned accounts that will maintain a best-in-class program for Customer and GALE This position is responsible for managing and working with the marketing team to identify growth or margin improvement opportunities Creates a national sales plan with input from Director of Sales, merchant, and marketing management and implement in a timely and cost-efficient manner Achieve or surpass sales and gross margin expectations.
Adhere to all financial guidelines in the operating budget and field sales plans.
Procure those internal resources and apply against new business opportunities and projects.
Provide ongoing POS analysis and metrics on overall business, new product/categories and special programs to Senior Management and appropriate BUs.
Develop and maintain high quality relationships the accounts and GALE Respond quickly and efficiently to requests from buyers and other stakeholders internally and externally for information and assistance.

Weekly review of forward stock cover and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that IFOT targets are achieved, out of stocks are effectively managed (and minimised).
Travel Customer Meetings and Events Customer Trade Shows Total travel 20-30% Experience Proven account manager with a minimum 7-10 years of sales experience and a minimum of 3 years calling on Walmart Proven track record of achieving sales and margin objectives.
Able to develop and implement large scale sales programs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study Must have seasonal product line experience at Home Depot Good understanding of retail consumer goods and the workings of Big Box/DIY retailers Managing Line Reviews Strong selling and analytical skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products and CRM systems.
