This position is responsible for leading a team of technical project managers and release management associates supporting delivery for initiatives covering web, back office, data warehouse, reporting, Business Intelligence and analytics platforms.

They will have to work closely with Business and other stakeholders, System requirements, Design and Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Business Relationship Managers (BRM), Finance, and Procurement teams across various business units.

This person will represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative.

Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Drives Enterprise Systems technology portfolio, demand, and resource management practices to balance capacity with demand.

Manages a portfolio of project and program management services (project analysis, project execution, project delivery) for the enterprise.

Lead and manage continuous improvement and planning for deliverables while ensuring adoption and implementation of project and program management methodology and drives the project and program management coaching for the team.

Communicates status of the project and program portfolio to all stakeholders in business units and ensuring that solutions are being delivered by project managers as per the plan and on-time within budget with the highest quality

Ensure that standards, guidelines, and processes including SLAs and Metrics are created, maintained, and consistently communicated for all aspects of Enterprise Systems by the project managers.

Ensure that all delivery artifacts are reviewed and are according to the standards and guidelines

Work across the GBS Enterprise Systems organizations including teams responsible for business and systems analysis, solution architecture, design and development, quality assurance, production support, infrastructure, business stakeholders, finance, procurement, and other enterprise teams to gather estimates and submit and maintain as per the standard templates and processes

Ensure that a defined work-in-take and prioritization process is managed along with resource and capacity planning and tracking, initiatives tracking and managing activities for the team

Develop and implement mentoring, training, coaching, performance feedback, regular evaluation for associates in the team

Provide support and operational project management for the services being offered to the business and the environments in which they are offered

Work with hardware, software, and services vendors to ensure that we have SOWs in place for the work being asked to delivery

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices and understand the use of industry tools/technology & their impact on project & operational goals

Drive in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place

Key Requirements:

Minimum 10+ years broad Information Technology experience in working with teams in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Requirements, Project and Program Management, Systems Design and Delivery, Quality Assurance, and Infrastructure

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.

Master’s Degree preferred

Demonstrated management, leadership, interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills as well

Demonstrated experience in mentoring, training, coaching, performance feedback, regular evaluation

Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures.

Project management and planning skills

Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting, and making verbal and written presentations

Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners

Demonstrated budget management, tracking, delivery and forecasting skills and experience

Strong knowledge of organization policies and procedures, knowledge of systems and application technologies and architecture

Demonstrated release planning and execution experience, creating, maintaining, and improving processes, metrics, SLA’s for the various interfaces, systems, uptime

Demonstrated experience in delivering systems utilizing a combination of the following technologies: ERP Systems (SAP, JDEdwards), WebLogic, WebSphere, Java/J2EE (Spring, SpringBatch, JUnit, Code Coverage, Profiling) and/or .NET (C#, ASP.Net, NUnit, Code Coverage, Profiling), Data Warehouses (Oracle, BW) technologies
