Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Area Director assists in the management and operations within Los Angeles County for Wraparound services in six Service Planning Areas (SPAs) 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8.
Job Responsibilities * Assists the Regional Director with the operations within the entirety of Los Angeles County* Providing direction, leadership and supervision of professional and other staff* Ensuring quality services to persons being served* Overseeing financial performance of the area business unit, reviews financial statements, oversees purchasing, assures billing compliance and documentation* Implementing area core growth strategy to increase census, maximize utilization and occupancy percentages, and assists with new start development as appropriate* Maintaining and fostering relations with community stakeholders, and referral agents; building relationships with local legislators and government officials; and lobbying on behalf of persons being served, and Network as appropriate* Implementing area strategies to maintain and foster relations with persons being served, families and guardians* Overseeing area quality enhancement and implementation plan* Providing oversight in clinical treatment model of Family Centered Treatment©, in addition to learning and implementing the leadership model of Situational Leadership* Implementing area incident management protocol; ensuring timely incident reporting and implementation of corrective action; and assisting with area investigations* Overseeing development and implementation of area health and safety programs for persons being served and employees to maintain area compliance with Network and regulatory standards* Maintaining licensing and compliance, including Medi-Cal certification, for area services and supports;* Assuring timely and accurate documentation* Maintain CEUs each license renewal period relevant to providing Clinical Supervision* Performs other related duties and activities as required Supervisory Responsibilities * Provides leadership including direct supervision and the evaluation of Program Directors and/or other staff; works with regional support team* Implements Network employee practices* Oversees area safety and workers’ compensation implementation* Approves area involuntary terminations and reviews written warnings; and assists with employee orientation and training programs* Directs and supervises Program Directors and other staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training* Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions* Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities* Provides clinical supervision (individual and group) to unlicensed and registered Clinicians and/or employees FCT (Family Centered Treatment©) TrainingThe Area Director will: * Be required to complete FCT supervisory certification* Will oversee all FCT supervisors* Complete all relevant training and make consistent progress toward achieving the FCT Supervisor* Complete certification from Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF) which includes online-based training, required readings, and videotaped demonstration of competencies in supervising FCT Clinicians* Maintain certification from FCTF including all recertification requirements every two years RequirementsEducation and Experience: * Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling* Minimum two-years post licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)* Experience with working in a community mental health setting in Los Angeles County* Supervising multidisciplinary staff* Good written and oral communication skills* Ability to develop and conduct training sessions and ability to develop policy and procedures: able to interface with both clinical, administrative (i.e.
data entry/support services) and management staff* Knowledge of documentation and contract requirements for respective funding sources, specifically Medi-Cal and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: * California licensure (minimum two years post licensure) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and in good standing with Board of Behavioral Services (BBS)* Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel throughout Los Angeles County and the various Service Planning Areas We have meaningful work for you – come join our team – Apply Today!
