Reporting to the Director of Transplantation Services, you will use your advanced knowledge and expertise in organ transplantation to lead, monitor and evaluate the transplant program staff.
Under the direction of the Medical Director, you will coordinate an interdisciplinary medical care delivery system and assess the appropriateness of medical interventions for the effective use of resources and quality assurance.
Other responsibilities include:
Assessing and monitoring medical case management protocols.
Creating educational materials and programs for patients, nursing staff and physicians.
Developing clinical protocols, and policies and procedures.
Delivering community education and public relations.
Serving as liaison with organ procurement agencies.
Qualifications
BSN
– Required
MSN and/or Masters in a related field -Strongly Preferred
California RN License
– Required
Minimum of 6 years clinical transplant experience as an RN, Transplant Coordinator, or Manager Required
Minimum of 2 years in a nursing leadership, supervisor and/or manager role Strongly Preferred
Liver transplant experience Preferred
Critical Care Registered Nursing experience Strongly Preferred
Certification in area of specialty Preferred
Knowledge of labor relations Preferred
Ability to case manage all aspects of a transplant patients medical care from initial evaluation to post transplant follow-up.
Demonstrated clinical teaching expertise.
Ability to interface effectively with staff, patients and their families.
Excellent leadership, organizational, training and complex problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-stress environment.
