Shop Educator – Downtown LA (THE BLOC)

What started with one shop in Brentwood, CA has grown to over 125 locations across 30 markets, with more to come. We are seeking an elite stylist with a passion for educating to join us as a Shop Educator!Description:In partnership with the District Manager(s) the Shop Educator ensures that the quality and consistency of stylist training is executed effectively in alignment with company directives. This individual is also responsible for the success of auditions of prospective stylists within their district, as well as training shop leadership on new product and tool launches. The Shop Educator is held accountable for the districts product education resulting in district product sales, client experience (rate your blowout scores), and stylist training surveys. The Shop Educator plays an integral role in identifying and reporting training content needs, developing training content, and rolling out any new content or initiatives to the field.We’d love for you to learn more about who we are by checking out our 10 Core Values, the Heart & Soul of Drybar: Responsibilities: Here is you will be doing as a Drybar Shop Educator:Manage hair quality by upholding Drybar standards, including quality control checks in all shops in the district, providing feedback to stylists and shop leadership, and reporting observations to District Manager(s) and Director of Training.Ensure quality by facilitating training to maintain consistent, effective training for new hired stylists and existing team members while keeping in accordance with what is outlined in the Big Book and Drybar standards.Identify on-going training and developmental needs for stylists. Recommend areas of needed development, as well as congratulating successes on a regular basis, and articulate in a constructive and factual manner. Provide in-person support when the situation is urgent or time-sensitive.Advise District Manager(s) on district needs pertaining to the growth, development, and support of shop leadership teams, including tracking results and holding the teams accountable for continued success of stylists.Drive the product launch training plans and track progress of training in shops. Gather any product feedback from the field and report to the Product and Education teams. Drive region/district sales through product knowledge.Ensure that all information which will result in the success of the shop leadership teams is delivered in a clear and timely manner, and that all parties that are potentially affected by this information receive it, including DistrictManager(s) Shop Managers, Stylists.Monitor region/district product sales, Rate Your Blowout feedback, and customer complaints.Lead all technical school demos in order to support shop level staffing and recruiting.Conduct stylist interviews; assess talent based on stylists technical capabilities, then approve stylist for hire.Lead orientation training.Facilitate and manage weekly shop assessments in assigned district.Train shop leadership on new products and tools.Communicate and advise District Manager of the technical needs of the market.Ensure client experience meets or exceeds the company standards by coaching and communicating with Stylists and Shop Managers.Facilitate training for new shop openings.Host technical interviews and training for new shop stylists.Study and identify training methods in order to improve quality and make recommendations to management. Qualifications: We are looking for a Shop Educator who has:Cosmetology License Required.2+ year’s experience working as a stylist in a fast paced salon.A master of all finishing work including blowouts, braids, vintage hair and updos.Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal.Proven ability to deliver curriculum and coach in the moment.Ability to develop new and creative ways to educate on techniques and product knowledge.Strong presentation skills in front of medium to large groups.Skilled collaborator who is able to build partnerships and work with others to achieve common goals.Drybar follows all applicable federal, state and local laws in regards to background checks.
