Director – Quality Assurance & Compliance

OverviewSummary of Duties:The Director, Quality Assurance & Compliance leads operations and quality teams in developing, implementing, facilitating, and maintaining quality standards internally and in compliance with Federal, State, contractual and customer requirements. Has high degree of interaction with senior leaders.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:* Recruits, supervises and leads a strong QA Team.* Ensures that all Industry and safety standards are in compliance.* Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, contractual and customer performance requirements, licensing, and training.* Develops, writes, reviews, and/or revises operating procedures as necessary.* Responsible for knowledge of all SOPs.* Leadership in areas of quality management, documentation control, with strong collaboration with the General Counsels Office.* Reviews documents that provide in process controls and specifications.* Trains, inspires and educates personnel on an ongoing basis in areas of Quality and Compliance according to company SOPs and regulatory requirements.* Provides new employee training regarding quality and standards.* Responsible for plans of corrective actions resulting from audits, investigations and QA reviews.* Manages Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) program.* Investigates and resolves customer complaints.* Drives continuous analytical thinking across team members to obtain consistent focus and innovation regarding quality, processes, and efficiency.* Interact routinely with all levels of Division, Operation and Group management, infrastructure, staff, and customers.* May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Divisional needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:* Experience in operations, project management, and quality assurance principles.* Ability to work collaboratively within a small team as well as across matrixed environments.* Excellent command of data compilation and presentation processes.* Knowledge of quality and project audit trends and processes.* Knowledge of contracting laws and contracting vehicles.* Progressive knowledge of quality, regulatory compliance, and project management practices.* Demonstrated knowledge of key account business rhythms, technical priorities, access to government customers and industry partners.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.Working Conditions:* Generally office based work.* Occasional travel may be required.* Must be flexible to work scheduled and/or non-scheduled hours as required.
