Job Summary
Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
Oversee the month end close and financial reporting for two domestic divisions including intercompany eliminations, fixed assets, cost accounting and financial analysis
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset schedules
Oversee the month enclose and reconciliations for operational functions including: accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Supervise accountants in the areas of: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Evaluate cash management positions on a daily basis
Manage the yearly audit with external CPA firm
Prepare quarterly and years budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
Special projects as needed
Requirements
BS degree in Accounting or Finance
4-8 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry in a manufacturing environment
2+ years in a supervisory capacity a plus but not required
Solid understanding of GAAP
Working knowledge of inventory accounting and general understanding of cost accounting
Good organizational and analytical skills
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting software (MAS 500, Dynamics or QAD)
