General Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented customer service focused Sales Associate with paid social advertising and media experience that will work to support the broader sales team.
The Sales Associate will be a crucial member of a new, and growing team, that will support the sales team in delivering paid social advertising recommendations.
You will provide best-in-class customer service to clients, both internal and external.
The Sales Associate will be responsible for the overall paid social RFP process, working with internal stakeholders.
Proposals will be of the highest caliber and will be designed to meet each client’s needs.
You will work closely with the Media Planner to develop the client’s paid social strategy and will ensure the sales team member is adequately educated and can confidently sell the recommendation through to the client.
You will also work closely with the VP, Strategic Growth to identify strategic growth opportunities to increase paid social revenue and identify sales trends to inform training needs.
Responsible for:
Support the demand-side growth acceleration of paid social sales by supporting the sales team, clients, and buying process
Act as a paid social advertising subject matter expert, and attend pitches with sales team members for pre-sales conversations when necessary
Have a clear and expert understanding of social publisher products, Unified capabilities, and their appropriate application for paid social advertising clients
Apply knowledge and understanding to support and develop the sales team in paid social advertising sales
Take the lead in RFP response templates, sales decks, and paid social advertising training collateral
Work with Strategy and Marketing to produce any pre-sale documents including presentations, proposal templates, and educational materials
Assist in pipeline management and opportunity accuracy
Act as a paid social expert and liaison, respond to requests for information and answer any questions as it relates to paid social capabilities.
Work closely with the Media Planner to ensure social publisher capability inquiries are accurate
Work closely with the VP, Strategic Growth to improve and implement effective pre-sales RFP process and tools that drive revenue growth
Work closely with VP, Strategic Growth and the Marketing team to provide feedback on the development of materials, both sales collateral and training materials
Research and analyze sales data and then proactively reach out to the sales team to increase paid social advertising revenue
Analyze sales data to identify knowledge gaps to influence targeted educational programs
Build and maintain positive working relationships with sales team, ensuring the enablement program and team are perceived as an accessible, collaborative and knowledgeable resource
Facilitate regular training sessions for the field sales team to ensure sellers are continually learning and up to date with the latest offerings from platform partners and Unified’s own offerings
Continually identify ways to streamline strategy team processes to ensure the team is always moving forward in the most efficient and productive manner
Collaborate with Business Operations for the continued refinement of operational processes
Requirements and skills:
3+ years of sales experience
Paid social advertising experience preferred, and a firm grasp of the digital landscape.
Broadcast/digital advertising, marketing, or agency experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing, Advertising or Media preferred
Understanding of complex advertising request for proposal (RFP) processes and requirements
Robust knowledge of both branding and direct response advertising campaigns
Good communication skills to work with a broad range of clients as well as internal team members
Persuasive storytelling abilities
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to dissect raw data
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines
Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Salesforce experience a plus
Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude
