POSITION OVERVIEWThe Human Resource Manager will serve as a strategic partner to leadership in their assigned region(s), developing and coaching in the areas of employee relations, problem resolution and staffing and development.

Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdheres to Company policy and procedures and enforces compliance by employees.Supports and represents a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork.

Acts as a role model to the team member in their respective regions and company wideParticipates in developing department goals, objectives and processes.Establishes and maintains department records and reports.Participate in administrative staff meeting and others meeting such as seminars and trainings.Reviews and makes recommendations to HR Director/Senior Management for improvement of Company’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislations in the states and municipalities they are responsible for and ensure company compliance.Responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation and employment law.Meets departments productivity standards.Reviews background screens and drug test results.Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts.

Document and file notes.Evaluate and advise Senior Management on issues that present risk to the company.Coordinates and tracks exit interviews and surveys to assess issues and make recommendations for changes as needed.Consults with legal counsel as appropriate.Works with General Managers, District and Store Managers to assist them in effectively managing personnel matters including but not limited to, terminations, discipline, staffing and recruiting.Maintains the human resources system and filing system that meets information needs.Tracks HR metrics to include discipline, attendance and other relevant data.Provide guidance and training to HR Coordinators.Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Labor RelationsPHR/SPHR certification preferred.5 years’ experience in Federal employment law3+ years’ experience in California labor and compliance lawsRetail or multi state experience preferredDemonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communicationStrong organizational and time management skillsRecruiting experienceMaintains a positive and respectful attitudeAbility to troubleshoot and administer the fair application of company policy.Advanced computer skills in MS Office Applications and HRIS, preferably UltiProAbility to travelPhysical Requirements:Extended periods of time working on a computerLifting up to 25 poundsRepetitive motion tasks while doing computer workExposure to active wireless equipment, signals and transmissionsNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
