OVERALL FUNCTION :

Responsible for being a part of the Mental Health Programs clinical team, incorporating individual, group and family therapy in the treatment of clients in the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Field requests, steward, manage and develop effective collaborations and relationships with volunteers, mentors, community groups, service organizations, corporations, and stakeholders throughout the Optimist community.

Develop and implementation volunteer and mentor program; recruit, train, place, and supervise volunteers as well as interns and other non-paid personnel.

Coordinate volunteer cultivation and appreciation events annually.

Along with other members of the development department, coordinate community donations, in-kind services and outreach activities being consistent with professional standards, facility procedures and department requirements.

Work alongside the COCA to solicit and secure donations (both monetary and in-kind) from community, corporate or volunteer groups as needed.

Assist with marketing and communication efforts in the areas of social media, public awareness/outreach, and media relations as it relates to volunteers and community groups.

* Conduct presentations and tours to civic and community groups to create awareness and engage involvement in child and family well-being activities.

Oversee the use of agency recreational facilities by outside community and business parties (i.e.

basketball leagues, softball leagues, special events, etc.) and act as a liaison between them and the agency.

Demonstrated understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship and the ability to handle relationships with stakeholders with tact and maturity.

Along with the development department, work with volunteers in their own fundraising efforts in support of the organization.

* Serve as a liaison for and coordinate an annual Alumni event for past clients/residents.

Ambitious work ethic and ability to produce high-quality contributions both autonomously and as part of departmental or cross-departmental team.

Must be adaptable and flexible as schedules, location and priorities may shift from time-to-time.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Attend trainings, conferences, leadership and supervision sessions as directed by supervisor, in accordance with company policy, and pursuant to applicable regulations Adhere to company policies and procedures and be knowledgeable of the individual duties and responsibilities Maintain confidentiality per company policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule regulations.

All employees, regardless of position, serve as role models for children and adolescents who are served by our Agency.

Therefore, each employee must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults who may have mental or behavioral health problems.

The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling.

Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expression are not acceptable.

All agency employees must maintain confidentiality of client and case information and may not access information unless directly related to their job responsibilities and duties, as stated in Title XXII 88069.7 (d): “All information in case records shall be confidential and shall be available only to the licensing agency, placement agency staff and personnel who need access for the performance of their duties.” Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective treatment of all children/families in care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum of two years of experience in effective planning, organizing and implementing community relations and fundraising with proven track record Experience or training in marketing and community outreach is preferred
· Social Media and basic e-marketing/communications experience is preferred Effective verbal and written communications skills Ability to establish a good working relationships with support staff and community members
· Must be able to work independently and as a team Must have knowledge in Microsoft programs, such as Word, Excel.

PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook Knowledge of Blackbaud software program is a plus
· A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion Valid California driver’s license; current automobile insurance; reliable personal transportation, have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company Must be able to be pass a fingerprint background investigation.

Must be able to pass a TB test, Physical Exam, and Drug Screening.

Pay: $58,240.00
– $65,000.00 per year
