The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Product Marketing Specialist to develop, direct and document product positioning for new to market products or existing product enhancements.

This role works closely with both the Product and Sales teams to document the facts of the product and collectively determine the strongest positioning and go-to-market messaging for the product to best drive revenue.

The higher-level strategic Marketing messaging, Roadmap positioning and latest research will influence the final messaging.

The Product Marketing Specialist continues to serve as a resource throughout the product lifecycle and support the business development and additional marketing needs of the product.

The Product Marketing Specialist actively participates during the product marketing roadmap development cycle and contributes toward the creation of related tools to prepare Sales for the roadmap launch.

This role will also be responsible for the update and ongoing product marketing of existing products.

What You Can Look Forward to Act as a marketing liaison and strategist with the Product and Sales departments on writing product Fact Packs for new to market products or existing product enhancements.

Analyze market need and competitive context in collaboration with Product and Sales.

Construct positioning based on structured process and analysis incorporating credit unions needs/pain points and product context within the overall positioning of CO-OP’s product set.

Maintain and have a working knowledge of key competitor activity and key differentiators and incorporate into product Fact Packs.

Work with Client Experience team (when applicable) to collect and assess the “voice of the customer” perspective, competitive data and emerging technology trends in support of new product development, product enhancements and competitive positioning.

Route product Fact Pack through necessary approvals with key stakeholders, incorporating feedback and gaining final approval.

Lead creation of sales tools from Fact Pack documentation (net new products or existing product enhancements) to support Sales team, incorporating feedback from Product and Sales teams.

Clearly document and communicate information to agencies, Marketing teams, Product teams and Sales teams.

Communicate product related updates and modifications to sales organization and corporate partners on a frequent basis, including supporting creation of presentations for the Sales Enablement Webinars and socialization of developed sales tools.

Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management.

Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

Serve as product/market expert for marketing team as related to technology, product positioning, competitive information and product performance.

Manage marketing relationships with key product partner companies.

Participate in Product Marketing team strategic efforts and contribute to the success of the function.

Manage budget spending and oversight related to assigned product lines.

What You’ll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field plus two years of demonstrated product marketing experience, or equivalent training and/or experience.

Demonstrated expertise in positioning products, managing product launches and supporting the sales channel with tools and information to drive revenue.

Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.

Ability to quickly establish credibility as a product expert and add critical business value.

To be a team player demonstrating cooperation in the way the business is done.

Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Objectively look at current ways of doing business and implement change.

Strong business acumen: accurate, insightful & timely.

Agency Management: drive agencies & vendor partners to do their best work.

Ability to learn new, complex and dynamic product and industry environment.

Strong writing skills are required to effectively communicate product positioning through creation of sales tools and training.
