RN- Radiation Oncology

RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the direct supervision of the nurse manager, the primary duties of CNIII include but not limited to: direct patient care activities; assisting with clinic scheduling needs and daily flow, promoting quality and cost-effective patient care, including patient assessment, treatment, medication administration, education and coordination; providing cardiac monitoring during radiation treatment and procedures, assisting physicians in performing procedures/surgeries, assisting with personnel assignments and training; coordination of patient scheduling and delivery of patient care in the Radiation Oncology Department.

Providing coverage for clinical services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and independent prioritization of patient care activities for Santa Monica, Westwood, Santa Clarita and other future sites as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSBSN or MSN required.Current CA RN license, requiredACLS/BLS certification required.Two years of recent med/surg or 1 year recent ICU experience preferred.Two years of radiation oncology nursing preferredAbility to utilize computer for communication, patient scheduling and documentationsAbility to organize workload and set prioritiesAbility to effectively carry out pre-, intra, and post-procedure care for procedural patientsAbility to move, lift or transfer of patients or equipment frequentlyAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to flex work pace to meet department needs;Demonstrate professional, diplomatic behavior with patients, family, and staffAbility to maintain positive working relationships with team membersAbility to operate equipment as required; Support institutional and professional standardsAbility to travel between Santa Clarita, Westwood, Santa Monica, and other Radiation Oncology clinics when needed.
