Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Paralegal

Job Description The Broadway Law Firm, PC (Boutique law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles) seeks a qualified, experienced, and professional plaintiff’s personal injury paralegal for immediate hire.

The position is responsible for a variety of professional functions.

Qualified applicants should be self-starters, good team players, have a strong desire for professional growth, able to follow directions, work well in a fast-paced environment, punctual, and highly attentive to detail.

Bilingual (in Spanish) and experience with personal injury strongly preferred.

Qualifications: ?

ABA approved Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-yr University (required) ?

Minimum of two (2) years of professional CA personal injury law paralegal work experience ?

Strong/demonstrable leadership, time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills ?

Collegial demeanor, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and motivated self-starter ?

Familiarity with CA Rules of Court, and CA Code of Civil Procedure ?

Microsoft Office Proficient ?

Bilingual in Spanish (Strongly preferred, but not required) ?

Effective time management skills, ?

Strong communication abilities (written, and verbal) Responsibilities: * Answer high volume of phone calls* Complete new client intakes* Open/close files* Calendar and manage deadlines* Handling incoming calls and apprising clients on case status* Preparing documents* Resolving Property Damage* Medical Lien Resolution* Scanning/filing/indexing documents in the client?s file* Following-up with clients on an ongoing bi-weekly schedule* Experience scheduling client?s at medical office for treatment* Case file management* Propounding/Responding to Discovery* Preparing/Filing Complaints* Draft demand letters and prepare demand package* Sort and read medical records, insurance correspondences, and settlement release on behalf of the client* Communication and corresponding with insurance adjusters
