Application Analyst

Responsibilities

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.

Under the supervision of the Application Production Support Manager, will provide technical support to the UCLA Health System’s Administrative Applications for the Faculty Practice Group (FPG) and Medical Device Integration applications.

In this role, you will perform application support, technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications.

You will achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational/clinical workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical and business operation supported by the application.

You will work with business owners, vendors, and other Information Services & Solutions (ISS) team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests.

Additionally, you will design, build, test, and support new applications and modules within the portfolio and/or service line.

Applications Supported include but are not limited to: Philips Central Monitoring system (PIICiX), IBE, DataMed, OBIX, Capsule, NurseCall and Administrative applications for FPG.

Qualifications

Experience in Unix scripting, Windows server environment, and File Transfer Protocols (FTP/SFTP) required

Proficient in analyzing and developing system workflow and business process flows

Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialty areas; knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation

Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Experience researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making

Experience on medical devices application configuration and setup
– Philips/OBIX/Capsule/HL7 interfaces
– highly preferred
