Production Supervisor

About Potential Industries: a privately owned recycling company which helps to conserve natural resources and improve the environment by creating quality feed-stocks from glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles

Summary: Oversee equipment operators using forklifts, front end-loaders, conveyors, mechanical screens, and optical sorters.


Work Environment: industrial environment in the recycling industry using equipment and machinery which may generate noise, heat, and dust.

Physical Requirements: walking including up and down stairs; occasionally carrying or lifting items which may weigh up to 20 lbs; mobility such as bending, twisting, climbing, gripping, pushing, pulling or kneeling

Education/Training (that would be helpful to have): safety, forklift operations, supervision, OSHA, mechanical/maintenance; technical training,

Hours: M-F either 6am-3pm or 2pm-11pm with some flexibility required; some Saturday work

Job Requirements:

Experience: Supervise operators in a production environment; consistently obtain results to meet quality and efficiency standards; observe operating conditions to identify variances from standards and pro-actively adjust equipment settings to safely achieve objectives

Skills: leadership; bilingual English-Spanish

Supervisory Responsibilities: lead a team of 7-8 workers with clearly defined tasks/goals
