Accounting Clerk candidates will be interested in this position at a reputable business, where they will handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). What you get to do every day
– Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
– Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
– Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources
– Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
– File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable
– Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required
– Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
– Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
– AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
– Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
– Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in Enter Vendor Invoices
– Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
– Sage Timberline experience
– Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
