Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a mid-/senior-level professional liability associate attorney preferably with 3-7 years of experience in all facets of the litigation process through trial as well as excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
The candidate will develop relationships with clients as legal needs are established, provide counsel, help clients understand their legal options, and represent them in court and negotiations.
Conduct research, prepare legal documents, and perform other duties to develop strategies and favorably resolve cases.
Explain legal options to clients and bringing possible outcomes or threats to their attention.
Build relationships with clients based on trust, and remain responsive to client needs at all times.
Develop arguments and represent clients in criminal and civil legal proceedings.
Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, dispositions, and pleadings, in a timely manner.
Stay informed about current legislation, especially concerning legal specialties.
Must be in good standing with and able to practice law in the state of CA.
The candidate must have a J.D.
degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background are required.
Must be knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive.
Should be self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting billable hours goals.
Must be open and willing to follow best practices and procedures.
Should be skilled with MS Office applications particularly MS Office Suite.
Experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.
The ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies is required.
The ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively is essential.
Must have a willingness to contribute to the firm’s culture via committee involvement.
