Starlight supports seriously ill kids and their families at more than 800 children’s hospitals across the US by providing programs like Starlight Gaming, Starlight Gowns, and Starlight Virtual Reality headsets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Starlight is currently seeking a Partnerships Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new corporate partners as well as overseeing and growing current partnerships to increase annual funding of our organization.  If you have experience in non-profit fundraising and development, we encourage you to apply.

The main responsibilities of this role are to:

  1. Corporate partner prospecting – conduct industry research, identify prospective corporate donors, and build a comprehensive pipeline aligned with the Development Team’s annual fundraising goals
  2. Fundraising – in collaboration with the Development team, develop fundraising strategies to cultivate new corporate partners and maintain existing partnerships
  3. Current corporate partner management – work closely with corporate partners in Starlight’s portfolio to prepare proposals, execute contracts, manage project lifecycles, and generate impact reports
  4. Development strategies – stay aligned on individual donor fundraising led by the Marketing & Community Engagement Team as it relates to corporate partner appeal strategies, organizational campaigns and fundraisers, and other donor management efforts.
  5. Financial reporting – in collaboration with Sr. Director and Finance team, forecast partnership revenue, build partner program budgets, and evaluate fundraising activities
  6. Database management – maintain timely and detailed entries for partner pipeline & current partner activities and run reports within Starlight’s database management system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ year’s relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising, corporate philanthropy, or similar field
  • Experience researching and identifying corporate/business giving prospects is a must
  • Proven track record of raising funds, specifically securing $250,000 or more in annual donations from businesses and/or corporations
  • A self-starter, shows initiative to undertake projects without prompting from managers and follows through on project tasks without management supervision
  • Ability to work well in a diverse group and collaborate across the organization
  • Very comfortable with Salesforce or equivalent donor CRM and Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work in a remote or non-traditional office environment
  • Compassion and caring for seriously ill children
