The Branch Manager responsible for creating the a “culture” of executing Safe, Timely, Accurate and Reliable movement of customers’ product through our facilities, while ensuring all personnel are following all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, OSHA, Company and Customer Rules & Regulations. They will oversee daily warehouse logistics operation, ensure the warehouse achieves several standard goals and will be the primary communicator and organizer.
The ideal candidate has a proactive attitude, aims to go above-and-beyond in their work, is dedicated to continuous personal and career growth and has a dynamic personality. They have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in warehouse stock control and logistics. About the role:
Know all the processes for the movements within his/her terminal scope
Ensure that the processes are being adhered to
Ensure all personnel are fully trained and are receiving schedule training events to upgrade
Ensure that all material handled in the warehouse is treated with care
Responsible of handling such material with a sense of ownership
Responsible for 100% accurate inventories within their facilities
Ensure all material is checked and inspected before it is received or shipped
Responsible for the performance of the Branch fleet, ensuring on time delivery expectations are met Oversee DOT regulatory compliance for the fleet and Class A, B and C Drivers
Ensure all tasks are performed safely and following company guidelines
Maintain budgets and environmental standards
Fulfill any obligations given by a higher office
Responsible for all direct reports participating in daily safety startups
Documenting such meetings and reports
Oversee training regarding safety process, equipment usage, systems and product movement
Interact with management personnel
Manage daily performance feedback and performance reviews
Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to Company requirements
Ensure all personnel are following Wage and Hour rules
Ability to deal with general management and strategic planning
Involve themselves in practical work on the warehouse floor
Take regular stock of the inventory and keep systems up to date
Produce regular reports planning for future capacity requirements
Make sure that warehouse equipment supplied to employees is safe and functional
Ensure the warehouse is kept in a clean and organized manner at all times
Responsible for the expected KPI’s of all facilities
Must establish, enforce, and communicate a plan to resolve the problem to appropriate upper management
Working on constant improvement within the Branch
Always thinking about increasing the value of the company and improving customers’ experience
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management
Job Requirements:
About the candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree (MUST) Degree/Cert in Logistics/Transportation Studies (PLUS)
10+ years’ experience in warehouse stock control, logistic planning and/or inventory control (MUST)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MUST)
Experience with modern ERP system and WMS platform (MUST)
Basic knowledge of Transportation Routing and Scheduling (MUST)
LEAN Six Sigma Certification (PLUS)
Desire personality traits and skills: Supervisory and mentoring skills, inventory organization skills , excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, management ability and industry knowledge, ability to work with little to no direct supervision, must be profit focused, results-oriented and an effective motivator.
