Adecco is currently assisting one of our clients in Chatsworth with a long-term temporary Apparel Quality Control Inspector (entry level).
The ideal candidate will have some basic understanding of Quality and will be checking apparel for defects and misprints.
Duties include but are not limited to: Inspects garments, such as men’s shirts, during manufacturing operations to determine number of defects per worker and reasons for rejects by examiners Lays out, folds, or adjust product to ensure images during printing operation are aligned to detect inconsistencies in printer machine settings.
Examines garment and parts for defects, such as unfinished raw edges, broken buttons or hooks, uneven stripes or plaids, puckers in seams, loose threads or stitches Write inspection reports describing results, recommendations, and on hold items Compare colors, shapes, textures, of products in client system to verify conformance to standards as designed by the customer Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection findings on garments.
Check arriving materials when needed to ensure that they match orders placed, submitting discrepancy reports as necessary.
Compute defect percentages by inputting results of quality control findings in client system To be considered for the Apparel Quality Control Inspector position, you should: Have understanding of production processes, and quality control.
Must be able to use math to understand/determine product statistics Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Previous Quality control experience is helpful Understanding of the apparel processes and machinery
