Software Engineer III, Global Esports – Esports Digital
Riot engineers bring deep knowledge of specific technical areas but also value the opportunity to work in many broader domains. As a Software Engineer III, you’ll also dive into projects that focus on team cohesiveness and cross-team goals. You’ll lead without authority and provide other engineers with a clear illustration of extraordinary engineering.
As a Staff Software Engineer in Esports Digital, you’ll improve development workflow efficiency, reduce application complexity, and ensure our products are scalable to meet the needs of our global esports audience. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you’ll champion the technical direction at the team level, and you’ll help guide the direction for technology that impacts multiple teams. Esports Digital is changing the way our fans engage with Esports.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- You will provide front-end architectural vision and guidance across our channel-app ecosystem
- You will lead and contribute to technical design and implementation
- You will manage the team’s process for delivering high-quality experiences to players
- You will oversee the quality and maintainability of your team’s code-base
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience or equivalent in Software Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with AWS (or comparable cloud environments)
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with functional and reactive programming techniques
- Experience supporting a global SaaS application
