Data Engineer/ ETL Developer
Fulltime
Northridge, CA
Experience 9+ years.
Primary Skills:
Create and manage ETL data pipelines (sourcing data from databases, streaming data, various web APIs, etc.)
ETL Position they need someone with SQL with Java or python.
ETL/ Talend/ PentaHo/ Custom.
(Java/ JS/Shell/ Python).
AWS.
NoSQL database (MongoDB/ Cassandra / any other).
SQL
Oracle.
JD:
· You are extremely handson on SQL on Oracle.
Have developed complex Stored Procedures and have good expertise with TSQL.
· You have knowhow of performance considerations and are comfortable with assessing performance issue sin queries and Stored procedures and tunening the same.
· You have good familiarity with developing complex SQLs for reporting and analytics needs.
· You have a sound understanding of database modelling techniques and practices.
You can understand application behaviours by understanding the Data model.
· You are familiar with ETL on Oracle by developing custom scripts.
· You can debug, Root cause analyse and troubleshoot data pipelines.
· You are comfortable working with large volume databases.
· You have developed / enabled reporting solutions over oracle
· You are comfortable designing, maintaining and enhancing large data models.
· You understand ETL mappings and have experience in developing transformations around specified mapping.
· You understand database migration problems and have experience developing unit test strategies for database migration problems.
Good to have skills:
· Knowledge of any programming or scripting language (Java/ JS/Shell/ Python) is a definite plus.
· Knowledge of AWS cloud environments.
AWS Data management services or AWS RDS is a plus
· Knowledge of any NoSQL database (MongoDB/ Cassandra / any other) will be definite plus.
· Knowledge of SparkSQL will be a added plus
· Knowledge of any open source ETL tool will be a plus (Talend, PentaHo, Custom)
Your Role:
· You will be working as a Senior Database Engineer in large Analytic platform implementations for leading global clients.
· Your teams will develop Analytic data systems over Oracle, NoSQL Database and Cloud deployments.
· You will work to understand and document large scale data systems.
You will develop Schema Subject matter expertise and play a vital role in developing Analytic systems over these data sources using BigData, Cloud and ETL technologies.
· You will actively leverage your core skill set on SQL/TSQL on Oracle but also develop related data engineering skills on Open Source BigData stacks and AWS Cloud data services.
· You will also manage large scale data transformation pipelines.
· You will work with Data engineering, Reporting, &Analytics and Data Stewards to create decision support systems for leading global clients.
· Your work will require you to travel overseas to customer locations and be part of Data engineering workshops.
