– Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt)n nn nnUnder the supervision of the Executive Administrator, Human Resources (HR), this role serves as the independent HR thought partner for the USC Care/Ambulatory Care Services executive team and workforce.
This key leader is a true HR Generalist with the agility and ability to step in and take on aspects of the HR function, as needed due to complexity or work volume surges in the department.
This leader works in partnership with his/her HR colleagues to manage all aspects of human resources.
The responsibilities include, but is not limited to: development and administration of human resource policies and programs, talent acquisition and retention, , compensation, employee and labor relations, performance management, compliance, and safety for the ambulatory organization within Keck Medicine of USC.
The Director of Human Resources must be able to effectively work in a matrixed organization while providing high levels of leadership and support in key business and planning processes that support the growth and development of the organization.nnMinimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Master’s degree strongly preferred.nMinimum Experience/Knowledge: Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experiencenMinimum of 3years of demonstrated and progressive experience working as a Human Resources Director preferably within a hospital setting.nPreferred background working in a Union environment, with labor negotiations, contract development and labor management.
Strong ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team‐oriented work environment.n n nRequired License/Certification: Fire and Safety Certification.
