Job Description:

Exceptional Opportunity to Lead Surgical Services at a Thriving, Mission-Driven Facility

I’m excited to share this high-impact leadership opportunity for a Director of Surgical Services in North of Los Angeles county in a smaller town, cheaper to live. With a growing surgical program, outstanding executive leadership, and room for innovation and service line expansion, this role is ideal for a tenacious and experienced perioperative leader ready to make a meaningful impact.

Having placed multiple successful directors who report directly to the CNO, I can personally attest to the supportive, empowering culture and the outstanding leadership team—which is entirely female-led.

About the Role

This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer and oversees the full continuum of perioperative services, including:

  1. Pre-op, PAT Clinic, Surgical Services (OR), PACU, Sterile Processing, Anesthesia, Endoscopy, and Cardiovascular Labs
  2. Clinical oversight across all service lines—including Ortho Spine, OB, and expanding specialties
  3. Management of 9 Operating Rooms, with additional OR capability in development
  4. Oversight of 2 ORs in Labor & Delivery, with surgical services expanding in that area
  5. Leading teams through orientation of new grads and specialty transitions, while hiring seasoned RNs
  6. Collaborating with physicians and administration on business development, physician recruitment, and service growth

This is a fast-paced, high-volume department performing 16–20 cases per day, running at least 4 rooms until 7 PM with a 12-hour shift model.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a proven perioperative leader who’s ready to take ownership, drive results, and build a collaborative, high-performing culture.
