Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated Admissions Representative to join our team at a premier luxury recovery center. The Admissions Representative will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment, guiding them through the admissions process with empathy and professionalism. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of substance abuse and mental health treatment, and the ability to build trust with prospective clients and their families. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to helping individuals begin their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online chat, providing information about treatment programs, services, and the admissions process.
- Conduct initial screenings to assess prospective clients’ needs and determine eligibility for admission based on established criteria.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate a seamless admissions process, including scheduling assessments and verifying insurance or payment options.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and updated in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, therapists, and community partners.
- Educate prospective clients and their families about the treatment experience, addressing questions or concerns with patience and clarity.
- Follow up with leads and referrals to ensure continuity of care and support throughout the decision-making process.
- Collaborate with the marketing and outreach teams to promote services and represent the organization professionally.
- Adhere to all federal and state confidentiality laws, including HIPAA, to protect client privacy.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the admissions department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a related field, preferably in substance abuse or mental health treatment settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Knowledge of addiction, recovery processes, and mental health treatment preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Experience with insurance verification and billing processes is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a call center or phone-based customer service role.
- Familiarity with 12-step programs or other recovery frameworks.
