Compensation: $75-$85 /hour DOE This is a field position based out of our Orange County site Will cover palliative care patients in LAX Must have a current California NP License Offer Based on Years of Experience What You Need to Know Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Symptom management for seriously ill patients. Establishing goals of care. Caring for and educating patients and their families, physicians, and the community around how palliative services can impact the quality of care for a patient still seeking active treatment and/or patients in the end stages of a serious illness. ********************************* Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Coordinate with the team to ensure timely visits that meet regulatory requirements of Hospice Face-to-Face visits. Symptom management for seriously ill patients. Offering support to the patient and family while visiting in their environment. Qualifications Maintains an active license and DEA in the state where care is being provided. Qualifications: Master’s degree, required Current and unencumbered advanced practice nursing license in state(s) practicing Current and valid CPR certification required Certified by a nationally recognized advanced nursing practice organization Minimum one-year experience Previous experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgical or patient population specific (i.e.: geriatrics, pediatric, etc.) nursing Minimum three years’ Palliative Care services experience Demonstrates familiarity with policies of the agency and state(s) and federal regulations pertaining to nursing services. Demonstrated expertise in pain/symptom management and advanced care planning Must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance
