Winter Internship 2024 Tax Intern – Los Angeles

Citrin Cooperman is seeking Winter and Summer Tax Interns for the 2024. We are a growing, nationally recognized professional services firm with over 400 partners and 2,400 total professionals in 25 offices. The firm was founded in 1979 by Joel Cooperman and Niles Citrin and today is the 25th largest accounting and consulting firm in the United States,and third among mid-Atlantic firms. A Tax intern is provided with tools and training to gain professional skills and experience. The internship is structured as a learning experience that combines in class theory with real world applications.

The Winter Internship Program is during our busy season, usually beginning early January and ending in April or May depending on your department.

The Summer Internship Program is an 8-week long program in the summer, usually beginning early June.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Preparing tax returns and tax extensions
Organizing tax information
Assisting with tax notices and examinations
Maintain working knowledge of tax preparation software used in office
Various administrative tasks, as needed

The ideal candidate must:

Be a junior or year prior to graduation (dependent on 4 or 5 year program)
Have completed at least one tax class
Have the flexibility to work a minimum of 25 hours each week
Have the flexibility to work weekends as needed
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
Must be authorized to work in the US
Have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Be detail oriented
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Be a participant in the VITA Program
