Contract Specialist
Salary Range: $117,000-$122,000
STV is a nationally recognized leader for delivering value and excellence in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning and environmental services, is seeking a Contract Specialist to work for the Construction Management division in its’ Los Angeles office.
The individual we seek should be skilled in the use of technology to complete their day to day tasks. They should be able to communicate well with a large team in order to coordinate and complete multiple responsibilities on a deadline
.Duties:
1 Prepares and reviews procurements and contract documents in compliance with the applicable
Education Code, Public Contract Codes, board rules and internal policies and procedures..2 Prepares and develops bid packages, scopes of work and solicitation documents, and negotiates
fees
3 Evaluates bids and proposals and make awards based on the evaluations
4 Issue purchase orders, task orders, and work orders
5 Utilize systems and software such as SAP and Excel
6 Meet and discuss procurements with requestors to update specifications, scopes of work and
requirements.
7 Monitors contract compliance and negotiates amendments and/or change orders
8 Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably related to
business or public administration, law or a related field. Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may compensate experience on a yearfor-year basis.
Minimum of five (5) years full time paid professional experience in procurement, experience in
related goods, general and professional service contracts, including one (1) year experience in
negotiation, development and administration of solicitation documents including RFQa, RFPs,
and IFB.
Knowledge/Skills
Candidates shall be proficient in procurement terminology and purchasing compliance
Knowledge of procurement regulations and contract documents
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
