AMVAC Chemical Corporation, a worldwide leader in delivering a broad array of solutions for agriculture, nursery/ornamental, commercial & consumer markets has an EXCEPTIONAL career opportunity for an experienced MAINTENANCE MANAGER with Manufacturing experience to work out of our Los Angeles, CA manufacturing facility.As the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance and repair the manufacturing equipment and machinery to keep this busy chemical plant operating at optimum performance 24 hours x 365 days and insure compliance with safety, regulatory and plant guidelines.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and assign the work of maintenance employees & inspect work for completenessMaintain maintenance work orders and complete other routine paperwork and records Work from drawings, verbal instructions and sketches; Blueprints and isometric drawings Supervise field & outdoor work and in the mechanic’s skill area including fabrication, erection, cutting, drilling, fitting and assembly of pipe and other equipment in various locationsSupervise and/or help install, rearrange, dismantle, repair and reassembling complex equipmentDiagnose complex equipment failuresCoordinate and inspect major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systemsSkills & Requirements:5+ years’ Industrial / Manufacturing experience as a leader supervising a busy, manufacturing plantBachelor’s degree (Engineering; Chemical Engineering or similar field)PLC / DCS experience – working with DeltaV a plusComputer skills including EXCEL; Word; ERP experience desiredExcellent communication & leadership skills Ability and knowledge to use various mechanic’s tools, inspection gauges and power tools such as grinders, cutters, drills, as well as care for them to maximize performanceHAZMAT; OSHA; EPA Must be able to function while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including half face, full-face respirator or supplied air breathing apparatusMust pass post-offer drug test, background check and other appropriate testing as required.AMVAC BenefitsExceptional Health insurance including Medical, Dental, Vision, LifeCompensation commensurate with experience; currently $90K – $110K+Health Savings Account (HSA); Flexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer matchingEmployee Stock Purchasing Plan with employee discountAnnual bonus plan Vacation, Sick & Holiday PayWellness programWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
