WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide vision, strategy and leadership for plant operations and maintenance to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction, delivery, service and manufacturing capability to accomplish plant, division and corporate goals at competitive costs.

Major Responsibilities: Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system in partnership with Quality Assurance.

Foster and lead a culture of safe behaviors and personal accountability while ensuring compliance to all cGMP and OSHA regulatory requirements.

Manage the financial performance of the site in accordance to the planned budgets, including labor and material loss strategies as well as cost savings initiatives to maintain competitiveness.

Design the appropriate organization structure and talent pipeline to reflect and achieve current and planned goals and objectives.

Ensure schedule and customer satisfaction targets are achieved with risks identified and mitigated and opportunities exercised.

Drive a culture of engagement throughout the organization by providing effective leadership, direction, development, recognition and support to the team.

Establish and maintain a strong MOS (Management Operating System) within the department including Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement, escalation mechanisms, employee communication, etc.

Determine strategic plans, goals and targets in accordance with overall site and Division strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Required Bachelor’s Degree required.

Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations or Science is preferred.

Background: 7 years of experience in a variety of roles in manufacturing to include experience in management/supervision is required.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for a FDA regulated / food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Accountability: This position operates with only general direction and minimal supervision and reports to the Sturgis, MI Site Director and has full responsibility to make decisions that directly impact site goal achievement.

Requires broad range of management decision making due to the large number of operating decisions and the annual budgetary responsibility of $6MM.
