To sweep the entire parking lot areas utilizing aTennant model 800 Sweeper to remove trash and debris.2. Must empty trash cans and clean security towers, theshuttle pick up stations and the bus stops on Telegraph Road. 3. Check the sweeper for any visible damage or problems,oil or water leaks, make sure the lights are working including the amber light,adjust the mirrors, check the water level, check the oil level and tirepressure and allow the engine to warm up for 5 minutes and proceed withcaution.4. You must abide by normal driving laws.5. Be mindful of speed bumps. Drive over them slowly andavoid them whenever possible.6. Do not make sharp turns or spin machine rapidly, doingso will cause damage to the machine and can possibly provoke an accident.7. It is recommended to follow a driving pattern that willminimize turns whenever possible. 8. Be aware of moving vehicles and vehicles backing out ofparking spaces.9. Be aware of pedestrians. There are a large number ofpatrons and employees walking to and from the building. Always give pedestriansthe right of way.10. When refilling the gas tank always be careful not tospill, use a funnel and an approved gasoline container.11. The gasoline container must be stored in theappropriate container, yellow in color and marked “Flammable Liquids” locatednext to the sweeper parking canopy.12. The hopper is emptied into a 3-yard trash bin, which islocated in the northern most part of the parking lot, car wash area.13. When emptying the hopper do it as slowly as possible asto minimize dust, which will end up on the vehicles.14. Clean the equipment, shake down air filters, and wipedown entire machine with all-purpose cleaner. 15. Clean shuttle pick up stations twice weekly.16. Clean bus stop located along Telegraph Road twice perday.17. Clean trash can lids once per week.18. Clean security towers twice weekly.19. Wash down trash compactor area twice per week.20. Twice per week remove items scattered throughout theparking lot and planters.21. Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns.22. Weeding and mulching landscape beds.23. Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs.24. Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees.25. Planting shrubs, flowers and trees.26. Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes.27. Monitoring and maintaining plant health.28. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned bythe Engineering Supervisor.The duties listedare not set forth for the purposes of limiting the assignment of work. Bilingual preferred.Other Requirements: Abilityto lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds up to forty (40) times per week and pusha maximum of one hundred (100) pounds for various job related duties, up tofive (5) times per week per eight (8) hour shift.
