Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Quality Team located in Everett, WA.
Position Responsibilities: Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Engages with the FAA, ODA Engineering and Inspection unit members on Conformity inspection process.
Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering,, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 3 years experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management Experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data 1 year experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience working with FAA Conformity process.
Experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar planning software Experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment E xperience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard Experience working with industry standards and regulations such as AS9100, Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 21, 25 and 183, FAA Order 8100.15, and FAA Order 8110.4C Experience working with FAA Orders 8110.4 and 8110.101 Typical Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
