Banner Solutions (Banner) has an opportunity for a Data Strategy & Master Data Management (MDM) Lead (DSM Lead).

As DSM Lead, you will be accountable for crafting Banner’s data strategy, ensuring proper orientation of data transformation efforts against the data strategy, overseeing analytics stack design, and MDM solutions that forge business as usual (BAU) and transformational data efforts together.

You will also serve as the MDM expert/owner, and work closely with Banner’s digital teams (eCommerce, IT and many others) with accountability for MDM activities, assets, and programs.

A successful leader will have thorough knowledge of information lifecycle management, and will build processes to ensure the disposition of data (archival, fit for purpose, and analytics ready).

You will leverage your excellent communication skills to articulate the change to business and technical team members in support of Banner’s data and analytics strategies.

What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities): Refine and grow the data strategy for Banner Serve as the Data Workstream / Track leader for Banner’s current MDM implementation project Lead/manage a team of employees (mix of direct-reports and dotted-line) and consultants to deliver a sound, ongoing data governance process Coordinate activities between business leaders and technical teams to gain understanding of MDM requirements and develop strategies to deliver and govern MDM solutions Collaborate with all teams in the planning, design, development, and deployment solution areas and coordinate MDM processes and solution designs in a manner that binds all solutions together Analyze and evaluate requirements in order to design solutions that best leverage our existing data applications and tools.

Provide the connection between IT service delivery and the business & process stakeholders, representing Data and Analytics and promoting their services and capabilities Develop a playbook for MDM, which can be used in the program and in other efforts such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures Enforce processes and standardization of data assets Collaborate with Data and Analytics architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards What you need to have (let’s call them Desired Skills and Background): Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or other related field preferred Minimum of 8 years of experience in a large-scale, enterprise data environment Demonstrated ability to work with others, to lead and affect process and organizational changes and improvements Deep experience in at least three areas including business intelligence, advanced analytics data warehousing, big data, robotic process automation, data architecture, data governance or master data management Knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business processes.

Proficient understanding of how technology can solve for identified business problems.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.

Exhibits ability to work in a team environment Strong analytical, organization, time management and process management skills Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.

Exhibits high personal performance standards, the desire and ability to continuously learn and must be results oriented.

Proven ability to build long-term relationships with customers and business partners.

Ability and willingness to travel as needed to achieve business objectives – likely 5-10% to other Banner locations Past experience in a Master Data Software Tool Past experience working with ERP/MRP Data Demonstrated track record in solving MDM challenges in customer, product data domains What is nice to have (let’s call them Additional Skills): Extensive knowledge of business processes The ability to collaborate with and influence others (senior leaders, team leaders, core working teams) Extensive knowledge of data warehousing (DW), master data management (MDM), data migration, advanced analytics, and business intelligence (BI).
