Structural Welder – Flux Core

We’re hiring Structural Welders on 1st and 2nd shift at facilities in Tampa and Gibsonton paying $24-$27/hr.

If you have structural welding/fitting experience with flux core (FCAW) and 1/16″ wire, please email your resume to bdickieaerotek.com Description: 90% of this job is structural Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) using 1/16″ wire (large, burns faster/hotter) 10% of this job is MIG/Stick (GMAW and SMAW) Fitter experience is a PLUS Pay: $24-$27 based on Welding Test performance and Class A or B M-F mandatory OT on Saturday (half-day) ; 48-56 hrs./week 1st Shift: 6am
– 4:30pm | 2nd Shift: 4pm
– 12:30am Sets up and operate welding machines for fabricated metal products Utilize and work off of blueprints, layouts, welding procedures, and operating charts.

Weld flat, cylindrical, or irregular parts Align electrode on welding head over weld joint to weld linear joints Adjust length of radial arm to position electrode over weld joint when welding radial joints.

Adjust shielding gas or gas mixture flow rate.

Set current, voltage, and slope, and synchronize feed of wire and flux with speed of welding action.

Start/observe machines meters and gauges Observes welding action for compliance with procedures.

Adjusts machine setup to vary size, location, and penetration of bead.

Installs tracks to weld irregularly shaped seams.

Preheat work piece, using hand torch or heating furnace.

May re-weld defective joints, using hand-welding equipment.

Remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter, using brush, portable grinder, and hand scraper.

May operate machine equipped with two or more heads.
