Controller-future CFO

Resulting from aggressive business growth and expansion, my client has an opportunity for an above average controller , the position into the CFO. This growth division –a part of a multi-billion-dollar NYSE company is a leader with the transportatio n, industrial , aerospace, military & defense industries. Because this is a high-profile role and due to its importance to the overall organization this person will be earmarked for promotion. Base salary range for this role will be $18 5 K -$210K plus 20% bonus .

Major responsibilities and background needed:

· Partner with CFO and other members of executive leadership team; provide advice and counsel on a wide range of business issues.

· Facilitate timely development of financial plans, including sales, profits, capital spending, standard cost, cash flow and balance sheets. Proactively assess key assumptions underlying operating plans; identify major opportunities and compare to management expectations.

· Provide leadership to strengthen internal control environment and maintain SOX compliance.

· Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial analysis for significant transactions, and major capital expenditure proposals; present leadership team with a clear and concise review of current and projected operating results.

· Supervise a staff of five which includes Accounting Supervisor, Sr. Accountant, Accountant, AP, and AR.

· Exercise strong leadership skills including communications and teamwork between finance, operating groups, division and corporate staff

· Manage assets, revenue chain, credit & collections, and cash. Identify and pursue opportunities for reducing working capital.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree several years experience -CPA & /OR MBA preferred from a Manufacturing environment
