Administrative Specialist

While insurance experience is listed as preferred, we are targeting someone with this experience:
• Previous experience in a high volume and changing priorities working environment.Lot of interruptions from internal employees occur
• Must be able to prioritize and possess poise under pressure
• Good customer service orientation and capable of working independently and on a team
• Proofreading, accuracy and taking instructions are important
• System Savvy
– Dealing with internal systems (policy issuance system, paperless system, Outlook, etc.).oReviewing Insurance PoliciesoGoing through a wizard to select from drop down menusoMicrosoft Word at an intermediate level
• Must have strong written communication skills through email (Outlook).Will be dealing with some brokers over the phone but mostly with internal employees
• Training will be one on one with the hiring manager
• Applicants that have previous experience working in a physician’s office have not done so well in this role so let’s stay away from this pocket of applicants Additional Notes:
