Responsibilities

About this opportunity:

The GI Lab Technician, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, will assume the responsibility of assisting the RN in preparation of patients, transporting patients, and assisting the physician with all GI endoscopic procedures. Responsible for assuring appropriate decontamination, testing and sterilization of equipment/instrumentation used in GI endoscopy procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Surgical Technician graduate from a formal training program and one year experience as a GI Lab technician.
  • Previous GI Lab Technician experience.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize supplies and equipment in relationship to types of procedures and patients.
  • Current BLS card required.
