In partnership with our defining Silicon Beach (Santa Monica, CA- Westchester, CA) client, Beacon Resources is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst. Minutes away from the Pacific Ocean, this position will be a resume-builder for the successful FP&A Analyst applicant to not only work at this organization but to be networked with other companies within the same industry.
Job – The successfully hired FP&A Analyst will perform typical FP&A duties, as well as some accounting duties in conjunction with the accounting department. You will have invaluable exposure to upper management. You will report to a Director of Finance.
Job Site Status (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite) – Although the role is currently 100% remote, our client eventually will have a hybrid schedule sometime in the latter half of 2022.

DUTIES OF THE FP&A ANALYST
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Build and maintain financial forecast models
- Analyze forecasted v. actual budget figures from the income statement and the balance sheet
- Prepare consolidated financial statements to provide a glimpse of financial performance of the organization
- Forecast Capital Planning and Expense (CAPEX) figures
Accounting
- Work with the Accounting division of the organization to book accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries during the Month-End Closing process
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for Management and for the Board of Directors
- Prepare business review presentations, budget presentations, and any other presentations on an as-needed basis
- Suggest any improvements to the financial reporting process
Miscellaneous
- Take on other ad hoc duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE FP&A ANALYST
Required
- At least four (4) years of finance and accounting experience, including at least three (3) years of FP&A experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience
- Model building, cost center budgeting/forecasting, and consolidations experience
Preferred
- MBA and/or a CPA
- Prior employment at a public accounting firm or as an accountant at a company
