*USC Gould School of Law**Los Angeles, CA* *Director of Admissions, JD Admissions* The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is located in the heart of downtown LA and is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles.  As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the “Trojan Family,” which is comprised of the faculty, students, alumni and staff that make the university what it is. *USC’s Gould School of Law, JD Admissions Office is seeking a Director of Admissions to join its team.* The Admissions Office is a fast-paced environment which receives approximately 5,000-7,000 applications each year for a highly selective incoming class, enrolling approximately 185 candidates each fall.  The most appropriate candidate will be a self-starter driven to meet and /or exceed objectives. Reporting to the Associate Dean and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, the Director of Admissions formulates and executes plans of recruiting, admission, and retention for the USC Gould School of Law while being responsible for providing the efficient delivery of high-quality services for law school applicants. The Director manages the staff and day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions and utilizes state of the art marketing tools and metrics to assist in meeting the enrollment objectives of the school. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, creative, and knowledgeable about successful data-driven enrollment management and marketing strategies. The Director of Admissions will work closely with other key senior Law School managers in the offices of Student Affairs, Registrar, Career Services and Graduate and International Programs. *Specific duties of the position include:*• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office and the implementation of the strategic goals and initiatives as defined by the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.• Assist in setting goals and objectives and then measure performance against objectives.• Recommend changes and/or enhancements to existing programs based on continual feedback and evaluation.• Provide oversight of application processing and monitor progress of file review (including the hiring and training of seasonal file reviewers).• Read, evaluate, and recommend action on admission applications for a pool of 5,000-7,000 applications and participate in the selection process of competitive scholarship programs.• Supervise the full-time Admissions staff. Assesses performance and provide feedback.• Provide counseling (in-person, virtual, telephone, and e-mail) to prospective students, admitted students, waitlisted and denied candidates.• Plan and make public presentations as part of outreach activities.
