Working directly for our VP of FP&A, our Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining operating and financial models and leading the organization in its financial planning process for their responsible area. The Finance Manager will have the opportunity to identify opportunities for process improvement and generate simple creative solutions that will assist the brand in its growth.
The role requires strategic and critical thinking, data analysis, and an ability to work in a fast paced high-growth environment. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to collaborate across a diverse range of stakeholders with high visibility.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with critical functions, including the executive suite to set the company strategy and drive financial and operational success.
- Maintain operating and financial models (build new ones as needed) and lead the financial planning process for responsible area.
- Oversee the development of the budget, forecast, and supporting analysis for an a.k.a. brand.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; communicate risks and opportunities; minimizing the impact of variances.
- Influence and align with cross-functional teams to drive the strategic business objectives with short-term and long-term financial planning.
- Play an integral role in the Company’s financial planning process, including the annual and multi-year financial planning cycles.
- Continuously refine and upgrade financial infrastructure in order to best reflect the business, improve decision-making, and help the company transition to a mature enterprise.
- Assist in any ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into novel issues to improve the collective understanding of risks and opportunities related to the business.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of strategic finance and corporate finance experience at a high-growth startup or well-established company; Merchandise Finance experience a plus.
- Proven ability to identify problems and opportunities and generate creative approaches to solve them.
- Solid understanding of enterprise-level financial systems and processes; experience in NetSuite and/or Planful a plus.
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field; MBA a plus.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong Powerpoint slide building skills that transmit messages with clarity to department and brand leaders
- Ability to handle complexity but strive for simplicity.
- Entrepreneurial flexibility and comfortable working in a fast paced, cross functional team environment setting.
- Partnering skills with various stakeholders in developing, communicating, and achievement of financial and operating plan/targets.
- Previous commerce experience is highly desirable.
