Reporting to the Executive Director in the UCLA School of Law, the Director of Annual Giving is a member of the School’s management and frontline fundraising team. This individual is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement and stewardship of annual fund and leadership level gifts ($5,000 – $100,000) from alumni, parents and friends of the UCLA School of Law. The Director has bottom-line responsibility for the UCLA Law Annual Fund, meeting all specific money and donor goals established in collaboration with the Associate Dean of External Affairs and Executive Director. The Director will manage a portfolio of donors and will create individualized solicitation plans and goals and engage in cultivation events and peer-to-peer fundraising, as appropriate. The Director will develop and maintain collegial relationships with other members of the UCLA Law External Affairs team to increase donor involvement and overall philanthropy to the school. This individual will also contribute to the development of the major gift pipeline through consistent face-to-face donor and prospect visits, increasing engagement and probability that UCLA Law becomes a funding priority for alumni, parents and friends. As part of the Schools’ development leadership team, the Director will manage Annual Giving staff as appropriate; oversee all annual and leadership giving communications, solicitations and events and will be responsible for setting annual fund goals and benchmarks, including strategy, planning and communications. The Director will also manage all annual and leadership gift initiatives and events. In addition, this individual will guide and grow leadership giving to the Dean’s Circle and work with colleagues to ensure proper cultivation and stewardship occurs for all annual and leadership level gifts.
