Job Description Fitter/Welders Needed Requirements:
– Must have at least 5 years of experience in fitting and welding structural items.
( ex platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, enclosures)
– Must be proficient in TIG welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum
– Must be proficient in MIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel
– Must be proficient in FCAW (fluxcore) welding carbon steel
– Must be able to fit up small and large assemblies with minimal supervision.
– Must be able to lift up to 75lbs by hand.
Also needs to be able to take the heat.
Our shops are climate controlled but it still gets hot in the summer.
– Must be comfortable with measuring and fitting equipment like tape measures, carpenter squares, levels, band saws, grinders, etc etc (this line should not be a problem if the candidates fall into the above categories) The right candidates will have a good work ethic, proper transportation, willing and able to work alone on projects as well as be a valuable member of a team on larger scale projects.
The candidate should be a turnkey employee meaning that little to no training will be required in regards to fitting, and all the welding processes listed above.
They need to have good recent job history.
