– 124905 The Role: Excellent New College Grad Opportunity As an Automation SW Developer within the CSDE-TADA team (Client System Development Engineering
– Test Automation Data Analytics) you will be at the center of post silicon automation development activities.We work with the Platform Silicon team that brings-up new memory technologies, the Debug team that identifies the root cause of system functional failures, the compliance team that is obtaining our first ever USB4 certification, and the validation team who runs an army of automated test stations to obtain coverage and enable our SOCs into production.We build the software that makes it possible for AMD APUs to become products.Imagine yourself a paratrooper dropped behind enemy lines to repair a bridge enabling a cut-off regiment to escape, only the bridge is a cloud based docker container executing Python scripts and the regiment is a lab of 200 APU test stations unable to boot.It’s up to you to save them and time is of the essence.Our team must work smarter and not harder.Everything from the industry is on the table.We perfect the best-known-methods and build them into reality, enabling all who follow to simply use them.We are constantly studying new technologies, analyzing data, and refining our solutions.Our team gets the job done, and we need your help.

You may often be given a high-level assignment without every step spelled out for how you should solve it.You will need to be comfortable working with a software development team, build things in the generally accepted style, and be receptive to feedback from your peers.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and support automation software implementations needed by our partner teams (validation test execution, power and performance, feature enablement, debug, signal integrity and characterization) Preferred Experience: Some experience writing software is required Experience working with a software development team is preferred Preferred skills Python (most critical skill) Jenkins Git Docker Containers Machine Learning JSON and data manipulation structured database APIs Regular expressions Windows & Linux virtual machines Rest API interfaces Web development Utilization of Cloud services IT org interaction, service requests, VM maintenance Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering is required Major in computer, electrical, computer science, or DevOps is preferred Location: Austin, TX hybrid with much work executed from home LI-DW1 AMD is a government contractor and subcontractor.
