Facilities Technician

Position Summary This role is responsible for assuring all areas in the facility are cleaned and organized.

All areas maintained with safe environment for all employees.

Essential Functions Perform cleaning and house keeping activities according to schedule, such activities as: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning activities.

Supports the creation and updates of cleaning checklists.

Assuring recycling and trash bags are collected throughout the plant and disposed in proper container, according to container pickup schedule.

Keeping trash cans and trash collectors cleaned.

Cleaning bathrooms and shower areas, refill supplies such as soap dispensers and paper supplies.

Internal and external windows cleaning.

Vaccum cleaning office and carpeted area.

Clean carpets per schedule.

Pressure washing side walks when needed.

Acting safely when water or other material spills observed on the floor, collecting spilled material.

Identify the area in any floor wet or spilled cleaning situation.

Escalate in case of any emergency advised.

Wiping down sinks, partitions, polishing stainless steel appliances.

Cleaning kitchen appliances in general.

Polishing other stainless steel surfaces such as elevator.

Clean, straighten, and disinfect areas such as meeting rooms, lobby, lockers area, and break room.

Wiping desks.

Cleaning of production area flooring with Industrial Floor Cleaner machine.

Be part of 5S team in the plant.

Organizing and cleaning production desks and allowed surfaces.

Maintainingcleaning supplies inventory.

Communicate with supply chain for re-stocking supplies when needed.

Report special supplies usage or purchasing when applied.

Perform Planned Maintenance activities such as replacing HVAC filters, water & ice maker filters, basic landscaping (bushes & weeds), change light bulbs, touch up / paint scuffed walls, testing of life safety equipment.

Register any work on Maintenance CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system).

Working according to Companys Quality and Safety System context, in accordance with its procedures and requirements.

Stop the work at any risk behavior and/or of others and self.

Works close to EHS assuring company’s safety compliances are met and on maintaining a safe work environment.

Eventually supports EHS tasks if applied.

Performs other Maintenance related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility None Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment.

The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30 pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.

Travel Limited to no travel.

Education Minimum High School degree preferred.

Janitor 1 – 2 Years of experience preferred.
