Job Description Marketing Specialist – Commerce, CA ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY The Marketing Specialist role is a key role that is closely involved in all aspects of marketing initiatives including Sales Support, Branding, Product Development, PR, E-Commerce, and management of marketing tools and assets. Works directly with the President of Sales and side by side with the sales, marketing, and operation teams. This is a multi-faceted position in need of someone who is effective, organized, takes initiative, and has the ability to adapt. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE Marketing Strategy and Sales Support Write Engaging sales copy Google Analytics Optimizing website for search engines Track and analyze website ROI Make sure products are current Make sure we’re using the most current photography across eCommerce Copy for the description of items Affiliate marketing Brand Trademark Management Managing license portal submissions and filing approvals for future review Maintain cohesive brand voice and communication across all channels (website, brand book, presentations) Create presentations for every level of the sales process (company introductions, product proposals) Create marketing materials (one-sheets, storyboards, marketing claims) Develop new brands and maintain existing brands (In house and licensed brands) Work directly with sales to strategize and grow individual accounts and overall business Product, collection, and brand marketing stories and launches Trademark development, research, and filling Research and create proposals for licensed brand Presentations Sales Decks Detailed to the point Express knowledge of the product Capture audience attention Consistency Organized and clear Photography Design Marketing Create photography guidelines and direction for outsourced photography (based on competition) Verify compliance-related content on packaging as needed (claims about what the product does) Product Development and Merchandising Coordinate Testing to ensure marketing claims are substantiated Create cohesive collections to present to customers (ex. customized comfort gusset program) Suggest and develop adjustments to existing products to offer exclusive options to retailers Create unique product/brand names for products to allow for diverse stories (ex. Sleep Infusion and Aroma Infusion, Climarest, and Climate Cool) Assess the market and competitors with product positioning and pricing strategy in mind Research, design, and develop new products and innovations based on market needs and requests Work with Business Managers to request product samples Social Media & Print Media Set up regular meetings with your team to discuss PR strategies – new ideas Build email campaigns Maintain an organized list of upcoming events promotions Manage PR Firm including workload and priorities Grow online presence, increase follower count through promotions Maintain a 6-month rolling content calendar for PR, social media, email, and content creation Coordinate with AFD team on PR strategies and overlapping content Social media strategy Allied Home Website and E-Commerce Manage Shopify (product uploads, content Work with the AFD team on developing the new site Develop content including writing copy and photography Create strategies for e-commerce growth across all existing sites and new sites Create and manage digital assets for new product and collection uploads (ex. Cosmoliving) Create new product offerings with unique stories across multiple sites (ex. Hotel collection pillows) Visibility on the promotional calendar KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES BA in business, marketing, or related field required Understanding of B2B, D2C, e-commerce, and private label channels Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously from Start to Finish Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally Shopify knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Google Slides, sheets, and email. Successful track record with a consumer goods brand (bedding/home industry is a major plus) Must be able to manage multiple priorities, set and achieve challenging goals Work under the pressure of deadlines and be adept at managing multiple tasks Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business PLEASE APPLY TO BE CONSIDERED Company Description A world leader in the down and Feather manufacturing business.
