International specialist insurer industry and established in 2006 to focus primarily on the needs of small and middle market commercial clients is looking and Underwriter with experience in Professional Liability and Casualty product lines, including MPL, A&E, Allied Health. As a Professional Risk Underwriting, you will be a key resource for Architects and Engineers, Contractors, Real Estate Developers, Allied Healthcare, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability for wholesale brokers throughout the Southwest region.

Job Details
- Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent according to the company’s strategy and guidelines
- Work closely with wholesale brokers, to develop and maintain relationships throughout the Southwest Region
- Work with operations, claims, finance and marketing to build or enhance products and contribute to the financial performance of the business unit
- Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability
- 10-20% Regional travel may be required for events and broker visits
Job Requirements/Skills/Education:
- 2+ years of insurance underwriting for Professional Liability lines with a reputable insurance carrier
- Strong relationships with wholesale brokers on the West Coast preferred, but not required
- Basic sales principles and negotiation skills
- B.A./B.S. degree (preferred, not required)
