Job Details
- Review claim forms and documents for accuracy and proper documentation
- Vendor Violation claim research and prevention.
- Create/open new claims files and update claim database accordingly
- Responsible for calculating claim amounts and submitting claims on time for payment.
- Investigate shortage or damage claims from customers/freight carriers/warehouses
- Act as a liaison between customer, consignees & carriers
- Handle internal & external inquiries and problems via the telephone and e-mail in accordance with the organization’s service standards.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of LTL services
- Documenting returned products for credit and/or salvage
- Follow-up on claim status and/or claim payments; finalizing the claim process when claims have been resolved.
