Job Description Summary:
You will be part of the Sales team, which is responsible for selling to our new retailer partners, and ensuring they are supported moving forward after launch. No two retailers are the same, which is why having an Solutions Engineer who can lead, adapt, and execute efficiently while setting the tone for the customer relationship is extremely important when selling to a new partner.
This position works closely with our Account Executives. Customer Success Management team, as well as Product team and is ultimately responsible for the technical sales process.

Job Description:

Role

  • Working to help qualify and close deals from a technical and operational requirements perspective for Sales team and development partners
  • Work with Pro merchants (typically small and medium sized businesses) through discovery and consulting sessions to uncover technical and operational problems they want to solve
  • Creating product demos and proof of concepts of our demo environment during vetting and alignment stages of the sales cycle
  • Becoming an expert on Happy Returns products, services and integrations
  • Diagramming systems connections, and flow of data between eCommerce tools and shipping operations
  • Aligning with Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams on future roadmaps and sharing feedback on released features and merchant trends
  • Mentoring and coaching the sales team on how Happy Returns’ operations and technology works
  • Common Tasks, Tools Required: Build and present systems diagrams, building and presenting from Powerpoint, collaborating on shared docs in collaboration tools, Designing how-to support docs in Word. Tracking customer relationships in Salesforce.

Sound like you?

  • Minimum of 3 years of technical selling and/or implementation roles in technology companies
  • Proven success in a client facing technical role, owning more than 20 technical engagements simultaneously
  • Experience scoping and developing project specifications for customer stakeholders
  • Background with Shopify, BigCommerce Magento and/or retail technology
  • Experience working on projects surrounding API implementations and data workflow integrations
  • Ability to be assertive when necessary to mitigate any potential risk to the project timeline or outcome
  • Passion for the problem Happy Returns is solving and interested in learning the world of returns and reverse logistics
  • Obsessively empathetic towards our partners and their business needs
  • Experience using account and project management tools such as Asana, Jira and Salesforce
  • Experience communicating technical project details to internal development teams using Jira
  • The ability to operate in a rapidly-changing and fast-paced environment
  • An obsession for details and accuracy, while keeping the bigger picture in mind
