We have seen great growth in the past few years, which has stretched our coverage area to include Warren, Hunterdon, Morris, Union, Middlesex, Monmouth & Ocean counties.
This expansion would not be possible without our dedicated staff members working on the front lines.Role of the Registered Nurse:Provide nursing coordination through periodic home visits.Function as a liaison and advocate individuals served when dealing with physicians, psychiatrists and consultants.Provide ongoing, case management healthcare related training to staff.Implement and train employees on new and revised health related policies and procedures in a timely manner.Monitor the medical files of individuals served to ensure that all documentation is present and correct.Ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained as per Agency Policy.Perform health screenings and medical assistance to individuals served as needed.Attend medical and psychiatric appointments whenever critical information is to be conveyed.Desired Qualities of a Registered Nurse:Positive Communication Excellent Customer Service SkillsCompassionReliability & DedicationDesire to make a differenceEthical and moral valuesProfessionalismQualifications:Registered Nurse3-5 years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilitiesAbility to pass criminal/registry background checks/drug screenClear tuberculosis screeningA valid driver’s license, no more than 5 points or DUI in last 3 yearsAbility to pass and maintain required training such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration and Positive Behavioral Support TrainingSo why should you apply?
