POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Plumber, IV will specialize in identifying and removing stoppages from all waste, storm and chemical lines.
Must be familiar with performing videoing all lines including hydro jetting techniques to remove stoppages.
Work with a minimum of supervision; Trace lines to identify stoppages Snake waste/ storm lines and chemical lines; camera all waste / storm lines and identify source of stoppages Perform hydro jetting and cleaning of waste / storm lines as required Perform demolition, clean up shop, organize storage and clean work sites; Measure, cut, thread and fit pipe; Pickup and deliver materials to job site.
Accept, unload and stock deliveries Perform set ups, use lifts and scaffolding; Repair faucets, solder pipes Maintain shop equipment including snake machine Complete and accurately write service reports Perform other related duties as assigned along with collaborating with other trades Assist all other trades QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma and 3-4 years of current plumbing experience performing snaking, videoing and stoppage removal.
Valid drivers license is preferred.
Must possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessary; Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the College; Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively; Must be able to work alone and with others; Must possess basic plumbing knowledge; Must possess a working knowledge of all hand and power tools e.g., all saws, hand snakes, threading machine and hand drills Knowledge of working with various sized pipping including 1 to 4 no hub pipe Familiar with using snap cutter for cast iron pipe Knowledgably of hydro jetting techniques ABOUT US The Plumber, IV will specialize in identifying and removing stoppages from all waste, storm and chemical lines.
